Let’s Dish 🥗 with Physician In The Kitchen | Personal Health Goals

Hi Reader,

I hope this email finds you well. Did you know that the average New Year's resolution lasts for 2-3 months? Well, I wanted to provide you with an update on my progress towards my personal health goals for 2024. I'm thrilled to share that I am continuing to meet my targets!

Firstly, in terms of physical activity, my plan was to dedicate 60 minutes each day to exercise, and I'm pleased to report that I achieved this goal most days of the month. Consistency has been key, and I've found that committing to this daily routine has greatly improved my overall well-being, especially when I get it in before work!

Moreover, my goal of cycling at least 300 miles on my Peloton during the month has been surpassed, with a total distance of 318.8 miles covered! Cycling has not only been a fantastic way to stay active but is also easy on my achy knees lol.

Lastly, I meticulously tracked my activity time, and in January, I accumulated a total of 2,236 minutes, dedicated to various forms of exercise (cycling, weight-training, yoga, etc). This detailed tracking has provided valuable insights into my progress and has helped me stay motivated to continue pushing towards my health goals.

How are your personal health goals going? Even if you got off track, it is never too late to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back in the game!

Product Update

Vegan W(orcstershire) Sauce

I'm happy to announce that I'm one step closer to getting my Vegan Worcestershire Sauce on store shelves. I have found a co-packer to mass produce my sauce just the way I want it. A co-packer is a company who takes my recipe and mass produces it for me. I am so excited!

Celebrate National Soul Food Month

Hey Reader, Growing up, soul food wasn’t just something we ate... it was something we felt. I can still remember the smell of greens simmering on my mother’s stovetop (it was my job to wash them lol), the smell of sweet potato pie wafting through the house, and the warm cornbread straight from the oven. Food was how we gathered, how we celebrated, and how we coped. But as I got older and especially after becoming a physician, I started to wrestle with the reality that many of the dishes I...

Hey Reader, Here’s something few people are talking about: Healthy aging doesn’t just “happen”, it’s something you build every single day. And the sooner you start, the bigger the difference it can make. Research shows that nearly 80% of aging outcomes (things like energy levels, disease risk, and even cognitive function) are influenced by lifestyle choices, not just genetics. And for women, the stakes are even higher: After age 40, hormonal shifts make us more vulnerable to bone loss, muscle...
